The kestnergesellschaft primarily exhibits contemporary artists. At first glance their work can sometimes be a little obscure or difficult to interpret. This is why we don’t leave you alone with the reception of our exhibitions.
We offer regular free guided tours, and on request we will be glad to provide a special group tour of the exhibitions. Our group tours for children, school pupils and university students are free of charge. We also offer regular tours and art courses for children from four to twelve years old – in German and in English!
There is also the tour format From Nail to Nail, in which we give you a backstage view of our institution and explain the conception and realization of the exhibitions. And do come to one of our events if you’re looking for other forms of guidance.
