The kestnergesellschaft numbers among the largest and best-known German art associations. Throughout the decades, the kestnergesellschaft has been able to serve the Hannover community because of the very support of that community. We value our members as important contributors to the realization of our goals in supporting artistic dialogue and developing and promoting contemporary art. You too can become a member and enjoy numerous advantages. Members, numbering around four thousand and belonging to diverse backgrounds, both local and international, can enjoy the experience and the challenges brought out in contemporary art.
According to the »Frankfurter Rundschau« newspaper: »Among the associations dedicated to the promotion of modern art, the kestnergesellschaft in Hanover, ever since the first exhibition in 1916, has been a primary address…in fact a pilgrimage site for contemporary art.«

as a member of the kestnergesellschaft

you may visit all exhibitions of the kestnergesellschaft free of charge
you are granted a reduced admission fee for all special events (kestnerdialogues, kestnerconcerts etc.)
you receive a personal invitation to all exhibition openings
you have the opportunity of purchasing carefully selected editions of contemporary art at a favorable price, which we offer several times a year to members only
you regularly receive information concerning the entire program of the kestnergesellschaft
you receive a reduced price for our catalogue-subscription service
you have, through your kestnergesellschaft membership card, free admission to all German art associations which belong to the AdKV (Arbeitsgemeinschaft deutscher Kunstvereine, »Partnership of German Art Associations«, 228 institutions), for example the Kunstvereine Munich, Hamburg, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Hanover, Stuttgart etc.
